WARNING HERBICIDES HAVE BEEN SPRAYED !

In the last issue of our news letter, I wished you a safe summer. If you have been out at the Tinley Creek Field in the last 2 months, you may not have been as safe as we would have hoped. There is a sign posted on the south side of Flosmoor rd. which warns that Herbicides have been applied. About 2 months ago, I pulled into the parking lot, there was a tractor with spray equipment that sprayed every inch of the field and surrounding property. Bob Schneider asked the driver what he was spraying, he was told they were spraying for mosquitoes. The equipment was not like anything I have ever seen used in mosquito abatement. I grew up in farm country, and I knew the equipment to be the type used to spray herbicide.  The fact that they felt compelled to lie to  us about  what they were spraying is in itself  alarming. It however  confirms what I have been saying all along, we are not being told the truth. For those of us with breathing problems, the field can be extremely hazardous. If you are out at the field, and feel short of breath, light headed, or feel your lips tingle, leave the field immediately, and seek medical attention.  If you have had trouble concentrating, or  trouble falling asleep after having been  at the field, you should speak to your  Doctor.  It looks as though we are seeing the beginning of the end. Be Safe Out There!
